Let's look at an expository sermon from 2 Timothy 2:21 - 26 called Striving to be a Godly Role Model.

There are five attributes of a godly role model. These attributes are:

1. A cleansed life (2 Timothy 2:21a)
   
   
   1. Shun sinful activities
   2. Shun those who promote sinful activities


2. A sanctified life (2 Timothy 2:21b)
   
   
   1. Useful to the Master
   2. Prepared for every good work
   3. Believers are there (Rev. 21:7)


3. A pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22)
   
   
   1. Fleeing youthful desires
   2. Pursuing righteousness, faith, love and peace


4. A discerning mind (2 Timothy 2:23-24)
   
   
5. A humble and compassionate heart (2 Timothy 2:25-26)
